And in This Very Moment is a collaborative performance project conceived and co-directed by Ayşe Draz and Marlin de Haan, created during the COVID-19 pandemic and realised as a digital work; a website that invites visitors to encounter and reconstruct traces of performance through fragments of words, sounds, images and movement. Working simultaneously from Istanbul and Düsseldorf, the two directors and their collaborators explored questions of memory, space and the fleeting nature of the performance moment itself, asking what remains when a live encounter can no longer take place. The project embraces the impossibility of capturing 'the moment' as its very premise, offering audiences an open-ended journey through the residues of a performance that never had a single premiere.
