Ayşe Draz appears in Dönme Istanbul: Fragments of Change, a documentary film directed by Jacopo Mario Gandolfi and Luis Miguel Selvelli, which investigates the effects of historical and cultural transformation on the city and its inhabitants across the 20th century. Through a series of stories told and performed by figures who embody Istanbul's many layers; an urban sociologist, a Kurdish student, a transvestite street vendor, among others, the film stages the ever-changing city through the voices of those who live it.
The film received second prize at the Antakya Film Festival (Turkey, 2009) and won Best Documentary and Best Soundtrack at REC/D – A Corto di Idee, Specchia.
