Performlab
Ayşe Draz co-directed PerformLab (2021), an international interdisciplinary programme for concept and practice development in performance, held at Beykoz Kundura, Istanbul. Organised under the artistic direction of Ayşe Draz together with Melih Gençboyacı of Productiehuis Theater Rotterdam and Pelin Başaran of Battersea Arts Centre, London, alongside S. Buse Yıldırım at Beykoz Kundura, the programme was realised in partnership with Productiehuis Theater Rotterdam and with the support of Dutch Performing Arts. Bringing together nine artists from Turkey selected through an open call, PerformLab offered an intensive week of practice and exchange with guest artists Benjamin Kahn, Cherish Menzo, Khadija El Kharraz Alami and Samara Hersch, alongside Turkish artist İlyas Odman, who accompanied the programme as Art Fermentor.
