Yarın Belki de

Yarın Belki de is a performance directed by Ayşe Draz, adapted collectively by Draz, Aslı İçözü, Şerif Erol, and Özlem Hemiş from Tomorrow's Parties by Forced Entertainment, one of the leading ensembles of contemporary theatre and a pioneer of the devising method, reimagined for today and for present-day Turkey. Not a play in the conventional sense,  there are no characters, no plot, just two performers in live action on stage. Set on a minimalist stage framed by colorful carnival lights, two performers engage in a verbal duel, casting a critical, ironic, and at times gently comic eye on the current era while spinning possibilities for the future. Guided by the performers, the audience moves through speculations, utopian and dystopian predictions, sci-fi scenarios, political nightmares, and absurd fantasies, by turns curious, amused, unsettled, and moved. Yarın Belki de opens up a wide spectrum of possible and impossible futures: from today's hopes and fears to the wildly imaginative. Entertaining, poignant, and occasionally unhinged, it is a performance that thinks out loud about what might lie ahead.
